The Illinois Cycle Rider Safety Training Program has openings for instructors and range aides!
Over 20,000 students receive instruction each year at approximately 70 training locations around Illinois.
Instructors average $390 per course and you determine the location and frequency of when you teach!
Range Aides receive $160 per course and you determine the location and frequency of when you work!
Instructors must have the following qualifications:
Range Aides assist instructors with a variety of activities including:
Are at least 18 years of age
Have excellent verbal and written communication
skills
Have excellent social skills with a strong interest
in helping other people
Have an Illinois class “M” motorcycle operator’s
license or equivalent from another state
Have completed a beginner rider course
Currently operate a motorcycle on a frequent basis
Have a clean driving record with no possibility for
license suspension or revocation
Complete an Instructor Preparation course which is
free; however, there may be a refundable registration
deposit required.
Assist Instructors in setting up cones for range exercises
Assist Instructors in preparing motorcycles for instruction
Assist Instructors in maintaining motorcycles throughout the course
Assist Instructors in securing motorcycles at the end of instruction
Assist Instructors in keeping range and storage area clean
Assist Instructors in non-instructional roles during the course
