Free Motorcycle Courses

The Cycle Rider Safety Training Program offers courses for riders of all skill and experience levels. These training courses are free to any Illinois resident 16 years of age or older who holds a valid automobile or motorcycle driver’s license or permit. The courses are designed to help riders manage their risk and increase their skills through riding and classroom instruction. Riders will sharpen their knowledge and riding skills and become a better and safer motorcycle rider.

Beginner Course

Have you wanted to learn how to ride but did not know how to get started? Or, maybe you have some riding experience but it has been awhile since you have been on a motorcycle. If so, the Beginner Course is for you.

Intermediate Course

Do you have some motorcycling experience? Do you already know how to ride but may just want to brush up on your riding skills? If you already possess the basic skills to operate a motorcycle but need additional practice before venturing into traffic, the Intermediate Course is for you.

Experienced Course

Do you already have your motorcycle license, some riding experience and a motorcycle? Do you want to improve your mental and physical skills? Then check out the Experienced Course.

Trike Course

The Trike Course is designed for those who have trike riding experience and have their own trike. This course will aid you in increasing your present skill level to avoid accidents and ride safely.
